Hello, my name is César Seguinot and I'm currently coursing an advertising mayor at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón! I consider myself to be a very passionate, determined and supportive person in everything I do. Most of these traits are reflected through my life work, which I mostly transcribe through many forms of art. I always give the best of me in everything I do, however I somewhat of a perfectionist as well. Este curso sobre los fundamentos de informática ha sido uno que considero que ha sido de gran provecho para mi desarrollo académico y personal. Primero, debo destacar que el material presentado durante el transcurso del semestre me ha servido para ampliar el conocimiento que previamente he adquirido. Hay diversos temas, como la privacidad cibernética y la introducción a la programación, que me han permitido conocer un poco más sobre la tecnología que utilizo diariamente. Además, la temática de este curso me ayudará a permanecer más conciente al momento de utilizar el internet con motivos personales o de entretenimiento. En fin, este curso de informática es excelente para conocer las destrezas e información básica sobre el internet.
Los dos temas/cosas que más me llamaron la atención sobre este curso fueron: La información oculta sobre las redes sociales y las diversas herramientos útiles para el diario vivir en el internet.
Los dos temas más importante durante este semestre fueron: La privacidad cibernética y la introducción a la programación.
Realmente solo considero que lo único que se debería cambiar del curso es brindarle más énfasis a los temas que se presentaron alrededor del final del curso ya que considero que son de más importancia.
Nuestra presentación investigativa, “3D Printing: Manufactura innovadora” abarca sobre la historia, uso y desarrollo de la impresión 3D con un enfoque en particular hacia la su presencia e impacto en la isla.

I once stood with a blank canvass in front of me. My classmates were beginning to draw their biggest masterpiece for the final assignment of the art class, yet I stood there inanimate and clueless as to what I should draw. Five minutes remained, and the canvass remained the same. All my classmates suddenly noticed a bright glow striking my canvass, resonating it for the entire class to see. I never noticed this light, but I did not care of it, I was more bewildered by the fact of how amused they seemed to be when they contemplated my canvass. They seemed impressed by it, even though it was entirely in blank. For them, the picture radiated a nostalgic feel that penetrated and released the deepest memories from their heart. They were all smiling, laughing, reminiscing of their most lively and beautiful moments. I remained ignorant; I could not fathom how they felt this cheerful over a blank portrait. It wasn’t until a girl approached me, and told me what she witnessed, that I could comprehend my “true work of art”. She told me how the painting resembled all her joyous memories and thoughts embodied in a canvass. She then smiled at me, but when I tried to smile back, she was already gone. I stood up and realized everybody also vanished. I then walked towards the window and saw that everyone was outside under the vibrant sunlight, feeling that nostalgic wind. I decided to close my eyes for a second, and once I opened them, that colorful and vivacious ambient was now dark and serene. My classmates vanished with the arrival of this now dreadful day. It was here when I soon discovered my epiphany. I sprinted towards my canvass, trying to find an answer. I wanted to feel that same nostalgia, I wanted to feel that same happiness. My dull mind and cold heart were not giving me that result. As I dove deeper into the void of my heart and mind, more tears began to fall, I was closer to realizing my truth. Suddenly there it was, that spark of light I was searching for, however it vanished as quickly as that girl vanished from my eyes. I whimpered, and out of frustration and deception I decided to throw away the canvass, but right before I could do so I noticed there was something on the canvass. It was the smile of that girl, a smile that I could admire for only mere seconds before subsiding, leaving the canvass blank again. This made it all clear to me. This canvass is a manifestation of one’s happiness. That smile was only a glimpse of what happiness truly feels like, but for the rest of my life I will never see a single thing ever painted on that canvass again. I decided to hang the portrait in the hallway of school for everybody to admire. With the pass of the years, the portrait was constantly traveling around the world. For more than 50 years the portrait was exhibited in almost every important museum in the world. However, there was one thing that never changed in those 50 years. I always perceived my portrait as a blank canvass. I submitted my work unanimously with the title The Blank Masterpiece.
I traverse the vacant and colorless streets of the city as the endless rain pours unto me. The street seems to go on forever. The buildings, cars and even the traffic lights all seem to be the same. I then decide to stop and look up to the sky. No ray of sunshine is to be seen; the world is now consumed by the darkness of the torrential clouds. As I look back down, I notice there is someone off in the distance. The person remains staid, starring into a sky of nothingness as the rain pours over. I decide to approach this person, but I can’t seem to get closer. I sprint, but I can’t seem to reach. My surrounding keeps changing, yet it remains identical. This mysterious figure is still several feet apart from me, yet I can’t get close. I give it all just to reach my goal and uncover the truth. My legs become numb and weak, and soon I find myself on my knees, exhausted. I try to catch a breath, and as I look up again, the person is right in front of me. I jump back, perplexed, as I try to get back to my senses. The rain has stopped, and now I can see the face of the person in front of me. Those blue eyes and golden hair seem familiar to me, yet why can’t I recognize this person? It somehow resembles me, however that can’t be true, I’m still here, pondering, trying to comprehend the situation. I endlessly stare into those eyes, painted with that beautiful shade of blue. I have seen color for the first time, since I got lost in these black and white streets that are my life now. As I stare into those eyes, I notice the person is now smiling at me. It was almost as if I was staring into a mirror, however the reflection was showered with a vast array of colors. Who is this person? Why do I have this eerie feeling that I know who this person is, yet at the same time I feel it is nothing but a stranger? The person now decides to run, waving at me as if to follow the lead. I run behind, as if I was behind a butterfly that was painting my blank canvas that is my life with the most vibrant colors. I could care less as to where I was headed, I was enjoying that once inanimate place, so different and yet full of life and color. There were rose petals flying all around and the sun was shining vibrantly. Suddenly, the person decides to stop and turns around and faces me directly. The person smiles at me once again and now I have come to the realization of who I have been facing all this time. The remarkable beauty is now clear to me. I smile back and run as if to hug the person, that now I know was always present in my mind. As I approach, a fierce wind blows the rose petals, taking away with them the person that stood in front of me. The sun was now covered by the gray clouds, and the rain started pouring again, washing away the colors from my life. It is now that I got to know who you were, that I wish you were still present. My life feels empty once again. I decide to look around, to see if you were still here, but I realize I’m stuck again in these vacant and colorless streets. Was it all real, or was it just an illusion? Can I see you again? I only hope you return to me and paint my life with your beautiful colors once more. You are my escape from this dull world, so please come back and stay with me forever.
Diigo is an online service that allows its users to group and bookmark various internet related content, which can later be shared with other users. This platform is useful for those who must keep record of all their browsing history in a quick and organized manner. As part of a trial to learn how to utilize the service, I created two groups of bookmarks with several websites and articles.

La impresión 3D, también conocida como fabricación aditiva, es un proceso aditivo de fabricación en el que una impresora 3D crea objetos tridimensionales depositando materiales capa por capa de acuerdo con el modelo digital 3D del objeto. (ALL3DP, s.f.)
Breve historia:
La creación del 3D printing llegó en el año 1,981 y su creador fue Hideo Kodama. Kodama creó un prototipo el cual utiliza fotopolímeros, con él se construyeron modelos impresos en capas con diferentes formas y tamaños. Luego en 1984, Charles Hull inventó la estereolitografía, esto es lo que le permite a las diseñadores a crear modelos sus máquinas 3D.
Aunque la primera versión no fue perfecta, uno de sus materiales claves es el fotopolímero y el rayo láser, el cual, al mantener una parte del material expuesta a la luz, provoca que instantáneamente se convirtiera en una pieza plástica sólida.
Esta máquina, a pesar de que ha llegado a ser muy costosa, ha logrado cumplir grandes expectativas. Lo cual provocó que la impresión 3D se volviera una sensación comercial a partir del año 2006.
Usos:
Algunos de los grandes usos que se le ha otorgado al 3D printing han sido los usos médicos, donde, por ejemplo, se han creado órganos implantados en humanos también existen el uso de huesos, prótesis y células madre. Junto con esto también se han hecho otras creaciones como drones, anillos, partes mecánicas de autos, armas e instrumentos musicales como el Violín. Uno de los objetos más grandes que se han hecho con el uso del 3D printing ha sido un barco o lancha hecho por la universidad de Maine.

La impresión 3D en un proceso aditivo, en donde se crea un objeto colocando capas continuas de material (adición) hasta que se crea el objeto del modelo digital. Los plásticos y las aleaciones de metal son los materiales más usados.
Este procedimiento permite crear formas complejas utilizando menos material que los métodos de fabricación tradicionales. También piezas únicas y geometrías muy complejas que solo son posibles con la hacerlas con esta tecnología.
Con el equipo que se puede fabricar una variedad de cosas. A través de esta tecnología, ha llegado al campo de la salud y ha obteniendo ventajas.

These social media sites store this information in their data archives to distribute them to advertisers or other clients, which they then can control and utilize freely. Moreover, social media apps can access other forms of information which is stored on the device its being accessed from. For example, Twitter and Facebook can access your internet searches which then is processed by an algorithm to provide content that will cater to your preferences, without the user even realizing or even utilizing the application. Nevertheless, this does not compare to the amount of user information Google can store. By utilizing Google Takeout, you can request Google to send you a copy of the files, information and data they have gathered from you. Some of the data you can find archived include: The various locations you have visited and when, what applications you have utilized and for how long, all the pictures you have uploaded and deleted and anything regarding internet navigation. All this is possible from the moment we give access to these platforms to verify our system storage, cookies and cache. Considering the vast amount of data these online sites can store in their database, one must always be wary of the content they share and the different permissions these services ask from you. If not careful, your information could land on the wrong hands.

Disconnect: Blocking Privacy Breaches
Disconnect is a browser extension that allows the user to know what internet sources are trying to access your information and content in each individual website you visit. Moreover, the extension allows you to block these sources so they no longer obtain information from you. To test this out, I decided to utilize the Disconnect extension on two of my most frequently visited websites: Twitter and Gmail. Upon enabling the extension I learned the following:

Once I decided to turn on the feature while browsing Twitter, it did no notify me of any potential site that could be tracking my information
Gmail:
On the other hand, upon opening Gmail I noticed a wide array of sites that tried to track my information such as: gstatic.com, ampproject.org. However, I noticed that the majority of the listed websites where in some form affiliated to Google and its various platforms and applications. For instance, Google Hangouts, Google Play Store and various Google Ad Clients.

Description: ATEEZ is a korean idol group composed of 8 members: Hongjoong, Seongwha, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Wooyoung, Mingi, Jongho. As of currently, they have 1 studio album and several EPs covering a wide array of musical genres. ATEEZ’s channel mainly posts skits, behind the scenes and other forms of entertainment videos, whereas KQ ENTERTAINMENT is the one that officially uploads anything related to their discography. I mainly recommend this group in terms of their fierce and innovative music, however I also encourage to watch any other supplementary content they decide to upload.

I recommend this channel if you’re someone who wants to be up-to-date with the latest products available on the market. Additionally, this channel may serve you as a way to learn about any product you may have had an interest in.
Description: Good Mythical Morning, hosted by Rhett and Link, is an entertainment and commentary channel that mainly focuses on reviewing foods, realizing various experiments, recreating new trends and host games with other content creators. This is an excellent option if you’re interested in discovering new trends and products with a very hilarious take.
Description: Kode, also known as Boss Logic, is a graphic designer and digital artist. He uploads the same content throughout all of his social media platforms, which I highly recommend due to the amazing quality and effort he puts into his artistic work.
Description: This Instagram page focuses on providing different food content, which I strongly recommend if you would like to learn about new dishes or discover where to adquiere them.
Description: In 9gag’s Instagram page you will find almost any type of entertaining pictures and videos. This is a page I highly recommend if you would like to include any sort of entertainment content on your feed.
Description: This book by David Levithan narrates the story of A, a being or person who swaps to a different body every 24 hours, and their struggle to live a normal love story with a girl named, Rhiannon. I consider this to be an interesting read because it takes a different approach to the average romance novel, which David Levithan executes tremendously.
Description: The story of 13 Reasons why revolves around a highschooler, named Clay Jensen, who receives a box containing several tapes which tell the story of Hannah Baker before taking her own life. Although this may be a casual read, I consider the various topics of conversation that arise from it to be quite controversial, which leads to interesting conversations.

Description: This story by Claire North illustrates the life of Harry August, a man that everytime he dies he is taken back to his childhood while retaining his consciousness from his past lives. I personally recommend this book if you’re into Historical Sci-Fi novels.
Description:Your Name narrates the story of two japanese highschool students which constantly swap bodies between each other — whilst being connected by fate — however there is only one thing keeping them apart: time. This movie is an absolute must watch if you’re a fan of romantic movies. Additionally, Makato’s amazing storytelling and the gorgeous cinematic experience will definitely captivate you.
Description: Hacksaw Ridge illustrates the life of Desmond Doss, an American Army Medic, and his determination to fight during World War II without ever touching a gun nor taking another person’s life. This movie not only portrays the brutal and gruesome reality of war, it also emphasizes the constant psychological battle soldiers go through. All this makes Hacksaw Ridge a movie worth watching.
Description: This movie’s plot is very straight-forward: passengers on a train headed to the city of Busan must survive a zombie outbreak. However, the reason this movie is one of my recommended picks is due to how Sang-ho Yeon portrays the different relationships and characterization throughout the movie, which creates a sense of deep realism, immersion and emotion.
